About the artist

Ali Futrell is a California-based painter and muralist known for her bold use of color and ability to transform spaces through large-scale, expressive work. With a background in painting, design, and technology from the San Francisco Art Institute, her practice spans murals, fine art, and immersive creative experiences.

Her work is rooted in storytelling—using vibrant palettes and layered compositions to evoke emotion, connection, and energy. Whether she’s creating a custom piece or leading a collaborative art experience, Ali’s approach is deeply human: art as something that brings people together and makes them feel something real.

For this collaboration, Ali translated KOOK’s partnership with Seatrees into a visual expression—bringing color, movement, and life to the idea of ocean restoration. The result is a piece that’s not just packaging, but something meant to be kept—a reminder that creativity and conservation can coexist.
