Hi squad :)

I'm Christina Kuklinski, founder and CEO of KOOK, an ocean-first beauty brand built for surfers, divers, and water lovers like me.

As master scuba divers and amateur surfers, my co-founder, Justin Borenstein-Lawee, and I have spent countless hours in the water, feeling the toll that salt, sun, and wind can take. After living on boats for nearly two years, my hair broke off and my skin was depleted. Justin felt the same - becoming a dive master in Koh Tao, he spent almost 8 hours everyday in the water. We couldn't find products that truly worked and would rather struggle than risk harming the reefs we loved exploring. So we created KOOK: high-performance, reef-safe essentials that care for both your body and the sea.

Before launching KOOK, I worked in brand strategy and consumer insights for global beauty brands like Unilever, L'Oréal, and Wella. I earned my degree in Sociology, Entrepreneurial Leadership, and Mass Media Studies from Tufts University and spent nearly a decade helping brands merge vision with data. Now, I apply that same approach to growing KOOK into a bold, community-driven brand rooted in sustainability and performance.

Every product is made and manufactured in Los Angeles, tested in real ocean conditions, and contributes 5% of sales to marine restoration through our partnership with Seatrees.

At my core, I'm a creative problem-solver and ocean advocate. KOOK is my way of ensuring the products we use don't harm the ecosystems we love - so we can all keep diving in.

Catch you on the next wave,

CK
